In 1993, the Chambers of Commerce of Lee, Scott, and
Wise Counties established the Ford C Quillen Scholarship to honor the
service of Ford Quillen, our representative in the Virginia House of
Delegates for 24 years. Each year, a Lee, Scott, and Wise County/City of Norton graduating senior will be selected for a $500 Scholarship. The graduate must be planning to enroll at Mountain Empire Community College or the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. The Quillen Scholarship is not limited to the top ranked students in each class. Deserving students with “B” averages are encouraged to seek this award. Recipients will be notified by May 15th. |
